There is a paved loop that goes around the bottom of Yosemite Falls. When we were taking a potty break and deciding which direction we wanted to take we heard a bunch of helicopters going by. We thought "Oh, that would be cool to see this from a helicopter." After starting on the path we heard a bunch of sirens and saw a few fire trucks go by. We thought maybe a fire, becuase they were having an incredible heat wave and what not. Just as we were about to approach the falls we had a worker approach us and tell us that we couldn't continue on our path becuase a tree had fallen and taken out the bridge that connects the loop and stands right in front of the falls.

So, we went back around the loop the different way. When we got to that side we learned that they`had just life flighted six people out of the park. The tree had fallen and crushed two people and severely injured four others. Needless to say not what we were thinking. One of the workers said he didn't think that the two people would live. I never was able to find out how it turned out. But as I was continuing in the park, being a spectator to theses magnificent creations and beauties, once again it was brought to my attention how frail life and nature really is. Life is a beautiful creation and I am glad I get to enjoy it with all of you. Hopefully you can enjoy these pictures.
